The Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance (ICCA) has asked Comics In Action to once-again help out with the 2011 Icky Honors. As last year, we’ll be providing a paparazzi atmosphere… snapping photos of all the participants in a flash-bulb lit extravaganza.
This year’s event will be held Monday, Jan. 31st at The Englert Theatre in Iowa City. A reception begins at 5:30pm at the Iowa Artisans Gallery and Chait Galleries, just across the street from The Englert. The honors begin at 6:30pm and our job will be to swarm the incoming nominees (as they walk the red carpet) with a vast multitude of photographers and questions. This should be fun.
Kudos go out to the New Executive Director of the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance, Abby Ballain, for green-lighting the concept. We promise to NOT let you down. For everyone else and their support, we can’t thank you enough.
